Thanks Anyway
I went job hunting today and felt like I was a girl scout all over again. My mom would always buy a ton of extra boxes of girl scout cookies; not for us, but to sell door-to-door because people are much more likely to buy them if they get to eat them right away. You always had the same format to follow when trying to sell to a customer: "Hello sir/ma'am! Would you like to buy some girl scout cookies?" "Sorry, but I [insert excuse here]". And you would always have to say, "Thanks anyway!" Even if their excuse was a crock of shit or they were rude to you. "Thanks for dashing all my hopes and dreams!"
Well basically every place I went today looking for a job answered my, "Are you guys hiring right now?" with a, "Well, we're always accepting applications." Not an outright NO, but gettin' there. Almost makes me wish I could go back to the days of toting my red wagon full of cookies. At least if I didn't sell them I'd have something with which to bury my sorrows.

The True Meaning of Spring Break
So far this break, I've barely had time to slow down. I've been on the move everyday whether I was at the gym, downtown, at a friend's house, meeting a friend for coffee, or running errands. Don't get me wrong, because I've been so busy this break has been one of the best yet. I've seen everybody I've wanted to see and honestly, words can't express how happy I am about that, but I haven't really had a whole day to just relax. So, I have deemed today my lazy day and I couldn't be more excited. The only problem: there isn't a SVU marathon on :(

You Stay Classy, San Diego.
I'M IN SAN DIEGO RIGHT NOW! Isn't that exciting? It's absolutely beautiful down here. Love the people, love the weather, love the sights. That doesn't really convey how awesome it is, but sometimes words just don't do it justice. Ha. Just. Justice. Okay I'm done now.

And They Were All Yellow
Yesterday I spent pretty much the entire day in the car; got up at 8am and hit the road at 9. My knees and butt were finally relieved of sitting down at about 6pm when I got home. Nevertheless, it was quite an enjoyable time. Shannon, David and I mused about bug splattered guts on the windshield (and how some were all yellow), rocked out to some good ol' fashioned classic rock, grooved with some oldies and got stared down by a boyscout in Jack-In-The-Box. We even got to check out Shannon's vivacious bachelorette pad in San Pedro, near L.A. All in all, it was an excellent trip, and a fantabulous beginning to spring break.

The Gym
Since it's way too expensive to use daily passes at Club Sport over breaks, I took advantage of a one week FREE pass to Express Fitness. Let me tell you, though it's not as great as Club Sport, it isn't bad! My only complaint: the place is CRAWLING with high school kids. I never realized how many high school kids there are around my town. I guess I never noticed, because not too long ago, I was one of them. I must have been so obnoxious...well more obnoxious than I am now.
