Window Pain

Whilst walking near the Tercero dorms after a scrumptious lunch at the DC (onion ring burger... yum) I witnessed something unusual. In one of the first-floor dorm windows I saw, what appeared to be, a person sitting right up near the window playing a game boy or something. Upon closer inspection, I saw that it was indeed a person, but they were smiling at something, and I could not decipher what it was. They were sitting so still, without any hint of movement, that I first thought it could be some sort of game. (I guess the ones where you stay perfectly still to mess with the random passer-by). But why were they smiling? I walked a bit closer, and then I realized what was going on. There was a squirrel near the window poised eating a nut or something, and this girl was almost leaning out her dorm window taking a picture of it. How weird. I mean, squirrels are everywhere here, and if you haven't gotten over your enthrallment with them you must come from somewhere quite devoid of the furry little creatures. This hypothesis made sense, because, as fate would have it, this person was Asian. Go figure.

  1. I like the third to the last sentence. The one with enthrallment and devoid. That one's my favorite.
